The Student Chairperson:
- Acts as the official student spokesperson for the institute.
- Provides general leadership and presides over all Student meetings.
- Serves as the liaison between Students, the Leadership Team, and the Advisory Board.
- Together with the Vice-Chairperson, organizes informal gatherings that promote dialogue and community among Students.
Julienne Pharrams

Julienne Pharrams is a junior from Montgomery, Alabama. She is currently double majoring in Political Science and Communication Studies.
Julienne has interned with Redemption Earned, an organization dedicated to identifying and assisting incarcerated individuals worthy of parole or work release, and Return My Vote, a virtual Voting Rights Restoration Clinic that provides free voting rights restoration assistance to Alabama citizens. On campus, she is involved in the Honors College, Shelby Scholars, and in her sorority Chi Omega. She is passionate about prison reform and social justice. She loves supporting the Crimson Tide from the Blackburn block on game days! Outside of school extracurriculars, she enjoys books, coffee shops, and time with friends.
