Jason Goggins is a Vice President of Federal Government Relations for Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing, and other financial products and services to more than 50 million individuals, institutions, and financial intermediaries.
Since joining Fidelity in April of 2018, Mr. Goggins has advocated on behalf of the firm’s interests in Washington on a wide range of legislative and regulatory policies impacting the financial services sector. Mr. Goggins is responsible for managing the firm’s day-to-day engagement with the Senate Banking Committee, the House Financial Services Committee, and numerous federal financial regulators. His areas of expertise include financial services regulations and legislation, including the Dodd-Frank Act, JOBS Act, and mutual fund, securities, commodities, and derivatives regulations. Mr. Goggins also represents Fidelity on the board of directors for the Crypto Council for Innovation.
Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Goggins represented numerous Fortune 500 financial services companies as Managing Director of the Daly Consulting Group. Previously, he served in multiple federal government posts including as Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to CFTC Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo from 2014-2016. That followed stints as Senior Professional Staff and Counsel at the House Agriculture Committee from 2012-2014, and as a Counsel from 2009-2012 to the House Financial Services Committee.
Mr. Goggins received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Alabama in 2003, and earned his juris doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2008. He is admitted to bar in Alabama.
